Green Diopside with Quartz

Regular price $19.99

Approx Size: 1/2 inch to 2 inches

Geology: Diopside is a calcium-magnesium-silicate and one of the most common minerals of the pyroxene-group. It forms two complete series with Hedenbergite and Johannsenite. The 4-rayed star is caused by reflection of light at needle-shaped inclusions of magnetite.

Metaphysical: The term diopside comes from the Greek words "di" and "opsis," which mean "two" and "vision." It's no surprise then that this stone was viewed as one of visualization and was sometimes placed on the forehead to help encourage good dreams by ancient peoples
